What is the PRC?
The PRC is your People Resource Center.
We fulfill the role of the Human Resources
function for Commonwealth Pain & Spine.

Onboarding
(What to Expect)
First, you’ll need some paperwork…As part of the onboarding process, you will need to be processed like a new hire which means setting up a new employee profile within Paylocity (your new HR System).
You will need the following information and documents with you by the time we begin onboarding on 07/01/202:

You must provide either (1) one document from List A OR a one (1) item each from Lists B and C. Documents must be original and valid (not-expired).

And there’s some learning to do…
All employees considered “New Hires” to Commonwealth Pain & Spine are required to complete certain compliance trainings. These will be automatically assigned to you upon the completion of your onboarding.

You’ll soon be enrolling in your 2025 Benefits Coverage. As a brief overview, you will have the following coverage options available:

Onboarding: The act of converting you to a CP&S Employee. Includes employment verification, profile set-up, and more.

Paylocity: CP&S HR System – you’ll use this to log your time, request PTO, review paychecks, manage your profile, and more.

Selerix/BenSelect: Benefits platform you’ll use to enroll in your coverage for the remainder of this year and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my date of hire be honored?
Yes. You will now have two hire dates. One for CP&S and one for your original date of hire.
Will my job title change?
Your Manager will confirm your title during the HR transition.
Will employees receive new email address?
Yes, employees will be given a CP&S email address (@mypainsolution.com)
Will direct deposit be offered?
Yes, you will be able to set up direct deposit during onboarding.
What will the payroll change look like?
You will begin using the CP&S time system on XX/XX/XXXX. You will continue to be paid on the Metro pay cycle until 7/18 when you will officially move to the CP&S pay cycle.
What about Paid Time Off (PTO)?
Employees will transition to the CP&S PTO policy beginning 2026.
Will there be a 401(k) plan?
Yes! Please refer to your benefit guides for more information.
When is benefit enrollment?
Benefit enrollment will take place beginning 6/30/2025.
Will I need to apply for my current position?
No, you will be moved over to the CP&S organization in your current role.
Will employees receive job descriptions?
If you would like the job description for your role, please inform your leader who can obtain it from the PRC.
What about scrubs and uniforms?
Please continue to wear whatever scrubs/uniforms you are currently using. When the time comes to change, we will communicate and provide resources to obtain new scrubs/uniforms.
Will our benefits change?
Yes, your benefits will go into effect on 07/01/2025.
When will employees be paid?
A payroll schedule has been provided. CP&S payroll is run bi-weekly.
What will the PTO approval process look like?
Employees will request PTO via Paylocity and reviewed/approved by their manager.
What happens to our old 401(k)?
Communication will be shared on the current 401(k) plan with options for you to roll-over your existing funds.
What is an HR Transition?
It is a process that is followed to shift employees into CP&S' HR policies and procedures, including the use of Paylocity for timekeeping.
What is annual compliance?
It is a mandatory program that ensures all employees are up to date on the laws, regulations, and policies that apply to our roles in healthcare.
When will employees receive an Employee Handbook and Policies/Procedures?
At this time, you will be provided all relevant policy information during the transition. A new policy locker and guidebook are being finalized for all employees.
What do our benefits look like for 2025?
Benefit information will be provided during your open enrollment period. A benefit guide is available for view on the PRC website.
Will employees have to wait for a paycheck?
No, please review the payroll calendar for planned pay dates so you may plan accordingly.
What about sick time?
CP&S has a PTO policy that includes sick time. The current Metro policy will sunset on the effective date of the transition.
What will Holidays look like for the remainder of the year?
Please review the "additional information" section for a list of 2025 holidays.
