Q: Will my date of hire with IPS be honored? A: Yes.

Q: Is direct deposit required? A: Yes.

Q: Will my current rate of pay change? A: No.

Q: Will I need to apply for my current position? A: No.

Q: Will our benefits change? A: Your current benefit elections will remain in effect until 12/31/2023.

Q: What about benefits for 2024? A: We will host annual enrollment in November. We will share information at this time about our benefits program and your options. You will make elections during that time for a 1/1/2024 effective date.

Q: Can employees choose not to elect benefits? A: Yes.

Q: Will my payroll change look like? A: Employees will continue to be paid on the 10th and 24th of each month via Paycor. Employees will transition to Paylocity on Sunday, December 17th. The first pay date in Paylocity will be Friday, January 5, 2024.

Q: When will employees be paid? A: Employees will be paid bi-weekly.

Q: Will employees have to wait for a paycheck? A: No. IPS' payperiod is December 1-15 and paid on December 24, 2023. The new pay period is December 17-30, 2023 and paid on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Q: What about Paid Time Off? A: Commonwealth will honor the current IPS practice where any unused PTO will be paid out. This will occur on pay checks dated Friday, January 19, 2024.

Q: Will we have Paid Time Off in 2024? A: Yes. We will introduce a new PTO policy during annual enrollment.

Q: What will the PTO approval process look like? A: The current process will not chnage. Please connect with your leader regarding PTO requests.

Q: What about sick time? A: If you have unused sick time, please call Dana in HR.

Q: Will we have sick time in 2024? A: We will not offer sick time effective 1/1/2024. All paid time off hours, except holiday hours, are included in PTO.

Q: Will there be a 401(k) plan? A: Yes, along with a bi-weekly match. We will share more information during annual enrollment.

Q: What will the holiday schedule be for the remainder of 2023? A: IPS will follow the CPS holiday schedule for the remainder of 2023. Thanksgiving Day - 11/23 Day after Thanksgiving - 11/24 Christmas Eve (observed on 12/25) Christmas Day (observed on 12/26) 2024 holidays will be communicated later this year.

Q: When is Annual Enrollment? A: It is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 13, 2023. We will post a schedule for informational sessions very soon.

Q: Will we still receive PTO payouts if our employment ends? A: The practice of PTO payout as a termination benefit will sunset as of 10/1/2023. *Please note, this does not refer to the annual payout in January.

Q: What is an HR transition? A: Refers to the process of managing the changes and adjustments with the Human Resources (HR) functions and personnel of two companies that have merged. This process aims to ensure a smooth integration of the workforce, policies, procedures, and culture of both companies, while also aligning with the goals of the newly formed organization.

Q: What about my job title, will it change? A: Your job title may change to become standardized.

Q: Will I receive a new job description? A: Yes. All employees will receive a job description.

Q: What is annual compliance training? A: We will provide online annual compliance training to all employees. This includes but is not limited to HIPAA; safety; and government mandated learning.

Q: Will I receive a new email address? A: Yes. You will receive a new email address very soon.

Q: What about scrubs & uniforms? A: The $125 allowance and payroll deductions will be sunset as of 12/17/2023. It will continue until then. There is a new policy and program coming soon.

Q: What about HR policies? A: We will provide HR policy training to all employees. We anticipate that this training will occur online.
